Lake Schwarzsee

From the bar "Talschlusshütte" at St. Magdalena in the Gsieser Tal (1,460 m), where parking and refreshments are available, cross the stream to the right and follow trail no. 12 through the Pfoital valley, ascending steadily to the tree line.

Continue straight ahead up the valley to the hut Pfoi Alm (2,134 m; no refreshments), then proceed through the alpine valley to a trail junction. At the junction, turn right and follow trail no. 13, which leads to the Hintere Gsieser Lenke pass (2,539 m).

Just beyond the pass, a short trail descends to the picturesque Schwarzsee (2,455 m), a tranquil mountain lake surrounded by rugged peaks.
