Wollbach Alm

From the church in St. Jakob in the Ahrntal Valley (1,180 m), follow the signs for "Wollbach Alm" and trail marker no. 5. The path first leads partly along a farm access road and partly across meadows up to the forest. From there, trail no. 5 ascends steeply but without difficulty through the woods. The final section follows a nearly level forest road for about 5 minutes to reach the hut Wollbach (1,609 m; food and drinks available).

For those who prefer a more leisurely hike, it's possible to drive up to the Ebner farm in St. Jakob. From there, the alpine hut can be reached in about 40 minutes via the forest road — easily manageable with a stroller as well.
