Bärentalerspitze
A mountain offering marvellous views!
Starting point: Bärentaler Hof in Platten/Pfalzen (1450m). You walk briefly downhill between the buildings to a stream, cross a bridge, and then take a right after an old mill. From there, follow the steep mountain path (marked with red-white-red markers, No. 19) uphill until you cross a forest road after the first steep section. Shortly afterward, you cross meadows to reach the first alpine huts, then continue steeply upward to the Bärentaler Ober-Hütte. Another short steep section takes you onto the vast alpine meadows, where you follow the sparse markers toward the north, reaching the ridge where you meet the Pfunderer High Trail. The final stretch heads eastward, leading up to the summit. Once at the top, you are rewarded with a fantastic view of the Zillertal Alps, the Dolomites, and the Ahrntal Mountains.
