Impressive alpine tour
The starting point of the hike is the public car park in Kasern. From here, follow the forest road into the valley to the Talschlusshütte, next to which stands the small Holy Spirit church. Then take the path ascending to the left, which leads up to the Labesau alpine huts and continues into the Windtal valley.
After some time – clearly visible on the map – a trail branches off to the left and leads to the summit of the Ahrner Kopf.
For the descent, initially follow the same route back to the junction. From there, you have the option of climbing up to the Lenkjöchel Hut. The trail then continues into the Röttal valley, passing the Rötalm and the Rötkreuz, before returning directly to Kasern and the car park. This creates a varied and rewarding circular hike, perfect for a day tour.
Alternatively, the descent can also be made along the same path used for the ascent, returning the way you came.
