Water reservoir Neves by bike
The water reservoir is located at about 1,800 m and is known as one of the most popular destinations in Valley Aurina
Following the bike path, you reach Sand in Taufers and then continue towards Mühlen in Taufers. In Mühlen in Taufers, cycle up to the church, turn left, and follow the paved mountain road to the first tunnel at Mühlwald. Initially, continue along the main road until you reach the small lake in Mühlwald. At the bridge after the lake, turn left and follow the path along the river. As soon as you reach the first farmhouses after the hydroelectric plant, turn left and continue along the main road until you reach the junction for the Neves water reservoir. After about 3 km, you will arrive at the beautiful reservoir. Around the lake, you will find several huts offering a wide variety of homemade local delicacies.
Note: the road from Lappach to the lake is closed in winter and opens only in spring, depending on snow conditions. Before setting off, check whether the road is open.
