Water reservoir Neves

This pleasant hike around the Neves Reservoir leads through an impressive, almost high-alpine landscape, where the massive concrete dam seems to remind hikers that humans may be only tolerated guests in this natural environment. The first information board already explains the planning and construction of the reservoir. In total, 14 panels present various elements of the alpine and high-alpine environment. Naturally, the fascinating world of glaciers is also covered—unsurprising when ice giants such as Großer Möseler rise high above the western Neves Glacier.

In addition, visitors have the opportunity to buy delicious homemade cheese at the lakeside Neves Alm. Another place to stop for refreshments is the Jausenstation Untermaurer.
