Schöntalspitze alias Schüttalkopf

From the parking lot in Kasern, follow trail markers 12 + 13 past Heilig Geist and continue to Trinkstein (still on markers 12 + 13). Shortly after Trinkstein, take trail no. 14 – the Krimmler Tauern Trail – which branches off to the left and leads up to the Tauernalm (2,018 m) and further to the Krimmler Tauern Pass (2,634 m) in the Zillertal Alps.

From the pass, a well-built and well-maintained hiking trail follows the eastern ridge up to the Schüttalkopf (2,773 m). A beautiful summit cross and a breathtaking panorama make the effort well worth it.
