Lake Sorapis
The turquoise shimmering lake, surrounded by steep rock walls, is one of the most famous mountain lakes in the Dolomites
The starting point for the hike is the Passo Tre Croci, located in the province of Belluno between Misurina and Cortina d’Ampezzo. From here, follow the signs to the "Vandelli Hut" until you reach a barrier, where a hiking sign with trail marker No. 215 points the way to Lake Sorapis. The trail begins with a pleasant walk through the forest, with gentle ups and downs, before gradually turning into a rockier and slightly steeper path. In some parts, the trail leads above the tree line along rocky walls and can be a bit exposed—but it is secured with safety cables. After this section, the path becomes more relaxed again, leading to the Vandelli Hut. From there, it's only a few more minutes to reach the turquoise-blue mountain lake.
