Alpine hut Birnlücke
Hiking destination high above the Valley Aurina
From Kasern in the Ahrntal valley, follow trail no. 13 the whole way. First walk along the old valley path (Way of the Cross) to the Talschlusshütte (1623 m, near the small Holy Spirit church). Continue to the Adler and Kehrer huts, then climb up to the Lahner Alm (1979 m). After a short flat section, the trail climbs steeply in many switchbacks to the Birnlücken Hut at 2440 m.
