Snowshoeing in South Tyrol, Italy: winter magic

Winter holidays in a fairy tale

Snowshoeing in South Tyrol-Italy is a unique experience. Nature rests under a glittering blanket of snow – an idyllic picture of winter quiet. All you can hear is the snow crunching under your snowshoes and your own breath, smoking away in little clouds as it meets the chilly air.

Every year we organise guided snowshoeing tours in South Tyrol’s marvellous winter scenarios for the guests of our wellness & spa Hotel Schwarzenstein. An experienced mountain guide will lead you to the most beautiful corners of the surrounding mountains. Snowshoeing equipment can be rented for free at the hotel, so that nothing stands in the way of your snowshoeing bliss in South Tyrol.

After a long snowshoeing tour, the South Tyrolean traditional huts are the ideal retreat to have a break and warm to a steamy hot cup of tea. Once you’ve caught your breath, it’s time to be back to the hotel and kick back in the luxurious ambience of our premium spa.

Among the highlights you can expect from your winter holiday in Italy there is the nightly snowshoeing in Rio Bianco/ Weißenbach: a moonlight tour through the darkness, equipped with headlamps and surrounded by nothing but soothing silence – a special winter treat!
